Film

In May 2009 I was approached by acclaimed horror short film director MJ Dixon of Mycho Pictures to appear in their first zero-budget independent feature film, Creepsville.

I was cast as Shrieker, one of the masked creeps, and the five month shoot on the streets of Preston that followed was one of the most exhausting and intense periods of my life.

We used my car to be the taxi (an integral part of the story), which required me to be on set almost every night, and from the start it was all hands on deck, so I soon found myself operating lights, creating costumes, and any other jobs that needed doing (I even got behind the camera for one shot).

Due to my dedication to the project it was decided by the Production Team that I would be given an Executive Producer credit, and I really appreciated the acknowledgement of my efforts.

Creepsville is currently in the final stages of post production and is due out in 2011.

Pretty much as soon as principal photography wrapped on Creepsville in November 09 we started planning Mycho's next feature, Slasher House, a project much more ambitious than Creepsville in every way, and I was asked to step into the role of Producer for the film, which was a great honour.

The story (once again masterfully crafted by MJ Dixon) follows a young girl with red hair who wakes up naked in a cell in a seemingly abandoned madhouse, but it soon dawns on her that she is not alone, and that some of her fellow prisoners are brutal killers...

Featuring an immensely talented UK cast, including British scream queen Eleanor James and professional wrestler Alex "Sabotage" Grimshaw, and shot in full HD in an abandoned prison on the Isle Of Man, the film is already garnering a lot of international interest despite its independent origins.

I also got to flex my acting muscles again as two different characters in the film, with one requiring leg extensions and full-body prosthetics, which was a great experience. We still have a few pickup shots to get before the end of the year, but then we'll launch straight into post-production, alongside pre-production for the next two features we have planned for next year.

Slasher House is due for release in 2011.
